Our 5th-grade class recently embarked on an unforgettable overnight adventure aboard the historic Star of India, blending hands-on learning with meaningful connections to our curriculum. This experience was far more than a field trip; it required careful preparation, thoughtful integration into our studies, and a willingness from students to rise to new challenges. In the weeks leading up to the trip, students explored maritime history, early trade routes, and life at sea, aligning closely with our social studies and literacy goals.
