Frequently Asked Questions



What forms will I need in order to register my child(ren) at All Hallows Academy?

In addition to the forms contained in the application packet, all students are required to submit proper academic report cards (showing their most recent grades) The following documents are also required: 

  • Birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
  • Immunization records
  • Academic report cards (showing most recent grades)
  • Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Records Release Form
  • If Applicable, record of IEP or 504 Plan must be submitted at time of application

Is there an application fee?
Yes, there is a non-refundable application fee of $250 per child. This fee is due when you submit your completed application. This fee covers evaluation and screening. A completed application and paid fee does not guarantee acceptance into All Hallows Academy.

What kind of assessment can I expect?
All Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants are screened for readiness. Testing for students applying to Grades 1 - 8 consists of reading, math and English. Parents should plan on staying approximately one hour. 

 

Since All Hallows Academy is a Catholic school, do you accept persons of other faiths?

Yes, all are welcome. All Hallows Academy has a clear non-discrimination policy. 

 

If my child is not Catholic, does he/she have to participate in Religion classes and other Catholic activities (i.e. Mass and prayer services) at school?

Yes, as a Catholic school, this is a requirement of students.

 

Does All Hallows Academy offer any type of financial aid or assistance?

Yes, financial assistance is available for those in need.  This aid is not available until your second year with us.  There is an application process in January of each year.  

 

What is the average class size?

Our TK class consists of an average of 15 students.  There is an average of 25 students in our Kindergarten through 5th grade classes.  Currently, there are full-time aides in grades TK-2, with grades 3-5 sharing an aide. There is an average of 28 students per class in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. 

 

What are the school hours?

Monday through Thursday, school begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. We dismiss at 12:30 p.m. every Friday for professional development. 

 

Are there required service hours? 

Each family is required to perform 30 hours of service at All Hallows Academy each school year.  

 

Is there a lunch program?

Yes, AHA  provides an option for ordering lunch Monday through Friday.  

 

How do All Hallows Academy students perform academically?

All Hallows Academy students consistently perform well on standardized tests. In Math, 50% of our students perform in the top 15% of the nation.  In Reading, 40% of our students perform in the top 15% of the nation.  Students rate high on the ACRE National Test (Assessment of Catholic Religious Education), especially in the areas of values, moral choices, and relationships with God. Many graduates earn scholarships to Catholic high schools and are often placed in advanced honors classes.

 
How is technology used in the classroom?
Technology is used daily in the classrooms to support student learning. Students use computers and/or iPads in the classroom to conduct research on the Internet, reinforce skills, practice vocabulary and type essays using Google Suite. Students in grades 1-5 attend technology class once a week.  Middle school students (grades 6-8) are provided technology electives each trimester that including robotics, coding, and digital arts.

 

Other technology features at AHA include: 

  • All classrooms equipped with a Prometheian Board
  • One-to-one iPad program in grades TK-4
  • One-to-one Macbooks in grades 5-8
  • Technology lab with 3D printers, engraving machine and laptops

When will I be notified if my child(ren) has (have) been accepted?

Acceptance letters and admissions packets will be mailed beginning in late February. 

 

If my child is accepted, what happens next?

If your child is accepted, you will receive an admissions packet in the mail with instructions on how to complete the registration process and pay a tuition deposit.  We will provide you with detailed instructions for each part of the process.
